You will absolutely not find such a splendid and beautiful place anywhere else! This tour is for people who want to discover the land of nomads. Kyrgyz Republic is a perfect country for trekking activity over snow capped mountain ridges, passing unforgettable gorges. On the way, there is the 2nd largest mountainous lake in the world Issyk-Kul. You will experience the nomadic style of life far-off from the frantic of busy and stifling cities. You will merely ADORE the way this tour has been planned.
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley (170 km - 4 h)
You will be met by your guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied you to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a breakfast in Dungan (Chinese Muslims) guesthouse. In case you arrive too early we can offer you a nice room with comfortable beds and you will be able to take a shower. The half day is dedicated to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. The tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. After transfer to Chon Kemin valley, on the way, 80 km east of the capital you will have excitinf excursion in the Burana Museum, a site of a medieval city of Balasagun, which was created in the times of the Karahanids supremacy i9n Central Asia, a Turkic dynasty of the 11 century. Dinner and overnight is in Kalmak - Ashuu home stay.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga (150 km - 4 h)
After breakfast you will have time for Chon Kemin Valley photo session to capture all the beauty of huge alpine valley. Here you have a wonderful opportunity to see real Kyrgyz nomads who live in yurts almost like 1000 years ago in the mountains of Tien- Shan bounded with fast turbulent rivers, Tien - shan fir trees and spruces. Before our departure, we will bring to a halt not far away from Chon-Kemin in order to walk a couple of hours in Konorchek Canyons labyrinths There at the end of the gorge you will see a magic red cliffs. Then picnic is organized. Afterwards we will go on with our tour to Tamga village. It is situated on the southern shore of Issik Kul lake (the second largest mountain lake in the world and the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan!). On the way to Tamga we will visit our famous Talgat - a hunter with golden eagles. He will tell us about his birds. After it we can do some photos of the eagles. In Tamga, there is sanatorium for militants where Soviet astronauts used to rehabilitate and train. The altitude of the lake and appropriate environment created just ideal conditions for doing that. Accommodation is in Askar guesthouse. In Tamga village you will have also sometime for swimming in the lake.
Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Dungurotmo Pass (3570 meters a. s. l.) - Dugurotmo gorge (5 hours)
We will drive to Barskoon Village after having breakfast. In Barskoon Village we will visit the family who are occupied with yurts manufacturing. For you there will be a nice chance to reveal the secret of producing nomadic abodes. After that we will go on our way to the Gorge of Barskoon that one of the most charming places in Terskey Ala - Too (Shaddy Mountains). There you will see one of the highest cascades (60 meters) in Kyrgyz Republic (alt. 2500 m.), as well as the monument devoted to the first man in the space - Urii Gagarin. We start our trekking from this place. We will have an ascent to the Pass of Dunguromo (3100 m. a. s. l.). Afterwards we will find ourselves in the wonderful valley of Dunguromo. We stop for the camping after a few kilometers down from the pass. We will spend this night in the tent camp at the altitude of 2850 meters a. s. l. Dinner will give us an opportunity to share with impressions of the first day.
Day 4: Dungurotmo gorge - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Chokolu Lake (7 hours)
Today we wake up early around 7 o'clock in the morning. Like famous travelers such as Ella Mayart 1932, Semenov Tyanshyanskii 1856 passed this place in the ancient time, and the Chinese Muslims are also known to come from China 200 years ago we will have a « vertical » hike to the Chokolu Lake over Zauka Pass, which is considered to be a historical pass, the part of the great Silk Road. The landscape is relatively flat, from vegetation prevails fine grass and moss, the climate is close to the tundra climate. Coming closer to the lake we will set up our camp for the night. Night is in tents.
Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Dzukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorgeWe have to get back to the Zauka pass. After breakfast we will have to put in order all our equipment and things to immerse them all on the horse and we will go further, passing Zauka we will reach the Dzhukuu valley. Then we go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we set up camp for the night. On the way we meet with Kyrgyz nomads who live here in summer season. You will be pleasantly surprised Kyrgyz nomads' welcome. We will try Kyrgyz cheese there and if you want you can try fermented mare's milk - Kyrgyz beer. Evening meal and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2770 m.
Day 6: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours)
We will have to prepare all of our gear early in the morning. Then we will hike up Ashu Kashka Suu Gorge. We make a short halt for lunch having reached the foot of the pass. Afterwards we will have to climb to (3490 m.) Ashu Tor Pass. We get into Dzhukuchak Gorge after the pass. Here we are given an opportunity to take a bath in the hot mineral waters. Our guide will offer you a local beer after good bath. It is real Kyrgyz beer. Overnight stay is at an altitude of 2500 m. in the tent camp. Dinner.
Day 7: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge
In the morning we will go towards the Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley. First we reach in the territory of Issyk Kul forestry that is located in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further we have to climb to the pass Orto Bulak (2900 m). Then we approach to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we break our camp for the night. This place is famous for its incredible beauty and stunning views of mountains. Dinner. Sharing impressions of the passed day. The night you is supposed to be spent in tents at the altitude of 2300 m.
Day 8: Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu water warm springs
After a good breakfast we begin our trekking towards the picturesque valley - ChonKyzyl Suu. First we have to go down to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge through the territory of forestry. Then we will go along the Djily Suu Mountains and as a final point we approach the gorge ofChon Kyzyl Suu. Here we enter the area of Ak Tash. Then we go up about three miles up to the warm mineral springs where we will again be able to take a warm bath and relax. The region is famous for its beauty. Overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2150 m. The Kyrgyz nomads and glorious mountains make you feel like you are on the top of the world!
Day 9: Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Kok Dzhayyk Pass (2700 meters) - Jeti Oguz gorge
We start in Jeti Oguz Gorge direction after breakfast. Djety Ogyz is one of the most popular places in our country to visit. This is the last day of trekking! First, we go down to cross the river Kyzyl Suu (Red River) in the place of Ak Tash. Afterwards we begin the ascent to Kok - Dzhayyk Pass. There it seems as if the whole world looks at you. The road, which will impress you with its dead silence, will pass through a small pine wood. We will have a look at Jeti Oguz Gorge after the forest. Jety Oguz will impress you for sure. We reach the yurt camp of Kok Dzhayyk after a couple of kilometers. Dinner and overnight are at the altitude of 2300 m., in The Valley of Kok Dzhayyk, in yurts.
Day 10: Jety Oguz gorge - Karakol (30 km - 1 h)
As soon as we finish with breakfast our journey will continue in the direction of Karakol town - the capital of Issik Kul region. Today we will visit Prjvalsky Museum, dedicated to the outstanding Russian explorer of Central Asia. In order to understand the Kyrgyz life of the 19th century we will visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the wooden mosque, made in the Chinese style. Check-in hotel Elita**. In the evening we drive to Dyishin village, where we will have dinner with Chinese Muslims, here they are called Dungans, who have come from central China, Dunhuang province. Chinese Muslims came to Kyrgyzstan 200 years ago when it was a war between Chinese and not Chinese nationalities and religions. They are very famous for national cuisine and good in agriculture activity. You will have dinner after we come back to hotel. We will have an opportunity to try different kinds of courses and of course national dungan bread.
Day 11: Karakol - Kochkor village (330 km - 6 h)
We move to Kochkor village early in the morning. En route to Kochkor Village we will drive along Issyk Kul Lake northern shore. It means that you will see the "The Pearl of Central Asia" form all sights! In Kochkor we could learn about Kyrgyz national customs and traditions, visit a handicraft museum and watch the traditional Kyrgyz carpets process making. Also we will see and participate in yurt settling process. "Yurta" is traditional collapsible nomadic felt dwelling. You will listen to the Folk-concert in the evening. Carpet-making show is organized specially for you. Dinner is served in the yurt. You will spend this night in the guesthouse.
Day 12: Kochkor - Bishkek
Transfer to Bishkek. Accommodation in a guesthouse. Free time for shopping or to walk around capital.
Day 13: Bishkek - Europe
You will be collected by your guide from the hotel and transferred to the International Airport of Manas.
