You will have a trek to enjoy untouched nature Kyrgyzstan - the country of the celestial Mountains and to visit numerous pure lakes with its sparkling water. During this adventure you will find out the Kyrgyz traditions, customs and way of life. The Kyrgyz being nomads for thousand years managed to keep all their marvelous mores and customs till present days.
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
From the International Airport of Manas you will be collected by your guide and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital city of the republic). Drive from the Airport to Bishkek city takes half an hour. Upon arrival in Bishkek your first day here starts with nice breakfast. You will spend the rest of the day having guided city tour in Bishkek City. This sightseeing tour includes the visiting of the many places of interest of the capital, such as: National Philharmonic, Ala-Too Central Square, the Museum of the Kyrgyz History, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Art Gallery, Victory Square (Pobeda Square) and Oriental Osh Bazaar. Lunch is included. Afterwards we will go to the valley of Chon Kemin. On the way, we will stop to visit the Tower of Burana - minaret of the 11 century and its open air museum of Balbans - stone warriors. Dinner is served at 7 p.m. In the Guesthouse of Kalmak-Ashuu you will spend the night.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
After finishing with breakfast that is served at 7 o'clock, we will move to Tamga village. The distance from Bishkek city till Tamga is 380 km. (6hours by car). We will drive along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake to reach tamga village. Lake Issik - Kul is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia" (1608m.above sea level). This lake is the second largest mountain lake in the world. Dinner is served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Tamga - Jukku gorge - pass Jukku
After the breakfast we leave the Guesthouse at 8 o'clock by car and approach to the entrance of the gorge Jukka. From this place we will hike through the gorge until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukka. Lunch is on the way. Jukku is the place where Kyrgyz nomadic shepherds still live in yurts and you have a wonderful opportunity to try a national drink Kumis (alcohol fermented mare's milk). Your dinner is served in the open air and overnight stay is in tents in wild nature.
Day 4: Pass Jukku - Ak-Shirak
This morning we start our trek at 8 o'clock. This day the hiking will be continued along the Silk Road (7hours) over the pass Jukku inside the Ak Shirak mountain range (average level is 3680m above sea). Lunch is after the hiking. Ak - Shirak massive is famous for its mountain Chokoli lakes that find their origin in glaciers. There is a stunning view over the majority of these lakes. The nighttime is spent in yurts near these lakes, as soon as you have a dinner.
Days 5-7: Syrty Ak - Shirak
(3000m. a. s. l.)It takes 3 days of hiking from Ak - Shirak along the southern side of the Mountains of Terskey Ala - Too to reach the foot of Ashu-Tor glacier (3600-4200m. a. s. l.). Ak - Shirak is the place where you feel like you are under the protection of the good spirits, where ancient merchants hid from the robbers. You will see also our stunning Ara - Belsu Lake during this adventure. All these nights you will spend in traditional collapsible nomadic abodes - yurts. Yurts are made out of wooden frame without a single nail and covered with thin felt mats.
Day 8: Gorge Ashu-Tor
After a breakfast you will hike over the pass Ashu-Tor (4000m.) where you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier, while having a picnic. Then you will come to the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by passing through the stunning Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 Hours, 3250m). After your dinner your overnight stay is organized in tents.
Day 9: Gorge Ashu-Tor - Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Having packing your backpacks, you start your seven hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley to the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break is organized on the way. You will spend the night in yurts just like real nomads do. A yurta is a unique nomadic dwelling made of felt and wooden skeleton without a single nail, erecting and collapsing of which takes only hours, correspondingly. Your dinner is given at 8 p.m.
Day 10: Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu - Bishkek
At 8 o'clock is breakfast. You will be guided for one hour in the morning down to Jeli Suu hot water springs, where you could take a bath. You will be transferred to Bishkek (350km.) by car after having lunch. Our trip will be along celestial Issyk - Kul Lake southern shore (1600meters a. s. l.) via Boom magnificent gorge. At around 7 p.m. you will be in Bishkek. In the hotel ****, until you are picked up at 8 p.m. you will have time for yourself. In a restaurant with a national folklore show in the capital of Kyrgyzstan you will have a wonderful farewell dinner.
Day 11: Return Trip
You will be met by your guide at your hotel according to your Flight details and accompanied to Airport Manas.
