Kyrgyz people since ancient times has handicraft that reflects and express their feelings and thoughts. And every culture has its own little secrets concerning traditions of handicraft. Now we want to tell you about Kyrgyz carpets.

Handicraft takes a big part in Kyrgyz traditions. It is something like a talisman which protects people from angry ghosts. Even from the birthday of a child every decoration on his or her bed is made by hands. Women create wonderful things with embroideries. They decorate carpets, clothes and their dwellings yurts. Men make horses harness with decorations made of wood. Kyrgyz are very skilful people!
