Day 1: Almaty
We are glad to impress you by the perfect Silk Road trip 4. When you arrive to Almaty, you will be a grand tour for about 5-6 hours where you can explore the southern parts of the city. First to all, you can start from Green Bazaar. This place is perfect for bargain and shopping of different goods! Afterwards visit the Panfilov Park as well as Zenkov Cathedral. We have no doubt you will like it on tours! The tour will be continued visiting the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame. The site is dedicated to the memory of the heroes who lost their lives fighting for freedom and independence of Kazakhstan. In the afternoon, we will travel to Medeo Gorge and try skills on the world's highest skating rink. The next destination of our tour is the Kok-Tobe hill. On arrival, you will see the tallest TV tower. There are a lot of entertainments will inspire you. You will finish your day by seeing the whole city by the famous Almaty cableway. Afterwards transfer to a hotel.
Day 2: Almaty - Issyk - Almaty
After breakfast, you will travel to Issyk Lake. The road will take 7 hours. You will get impression of the famous Trans-Ili Alatau gorge (Issyk Gorge), which is located on the Kuldja tract. In past times, caravans passed this road. You will have an opportunity to learn more about history of burial mounds of Saka period as well as the famous "Golden Man". Visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "ISSYK" where you can find a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, horse equipment and other interesting items of past. You will have the opportunity to see the model of Saka burial mound and get impression of the most beautiful mountain lake Issyk. This lake appeared at about 10,000 years ago because of mudslide. Day 3: Almaty - Bishkek
Early in the morning we will travel to Bishkek. On reaching, you will have a city tour and visit the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic and others. Afterwards, visit the famous and colorful bazaar as Asian Bazaar! Walking along a big variety of goods you will learn more about local culture. In the end is transfer to hotel in order to spend a comfortable night.
Day 4: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
We will travel to Issyk Kul Lake and get impression of mountains surrounded the lake from all for sides. Issyk Kul Lake is the second largest alpine lake in the world of 1608 m. above sea level. Locals call it "the pearl of Central Asia". The lake is never freezes and famous for its healing properties! Visit the ancient Burana Tower (11th century) and an open air museum of Balbals or stone warriors was made for soldiers who died protecting their Motherland. We will travel to Cholpon Ata city and see ancient stone inscriptions belonging to the 800 B.C. The traces were made by shamans 2000 years ago. Then, you will visit the local ethnography museum. Transfer to hotel for sleep.
Day 5: Issyk Kul - Grigorievskoye - Semenovskoye - Karakol
The next day of our tour will be done visiting outstanding Semenovskoye and Grigorievskoye gorges. Walking among them you will see they are connected at the end. The nature of green landscape will amaze you. Then we will drive along the northern shore of the lake to Karakol city and visit the famous highlight od the city as Dungan mosque of Chinese style and without metal ligaments as well as old wooden Orthodox Church. Rest is in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Karakol - Skazka - Bokonbaevo
Today we will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge or so called Seven Bulls. You will have an opportunity to enjoy seven red rocks, used to change shapes due to wind and rain. On the way you will notice the Broken Heart Mountain as well. There is a beautiful waterfall in 20 minutes of hiking tour. The trip will be continued via the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul for about 4 km from the village of Tosor to the Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon. The red sand formation in different forms will not leave you indifferent. Then, we will travel to Bokonbaevo village. An eagle hunter will wait for you to show an eagle hunting. Afterwards your night will be spent in nomadic dwellings - yurts.
Day 7: Bokonbaevo - Kyzyl Tuu - Bishkek
This day will begin driving to Bishkek city. On the route you can visit Kyzyl Tuu village and learn more about Kyrgyz felt dwellings - yurts. You will be shown a yurt workshop and get experience. We will continue drive to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek city. On arrival is rest is in a hotel.
Day 8: Bishkek - Osh - Khudjand
In the morning, we will have flight to Osh city. On the way you will pass by the famous highlight as Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too or Solomon's Mountain is located in the city center and considered to be the place of Muslim pilgrimage. As legend says, there was the biblical prophet Solomon who was buried at the foot of this mountain. Afterwards, we will travel to Tajik border. On the way, you can take perfect photos. Tajik guide will meet you at the other side and then drive Khujand city. It is the second largest city of Tajikistan, located near the Syr Darya River at the the Fergana Valley. The population of the city is about 149,000 and called Sughd. In the afternoon tour, you will visit a Cultural Palace of Khujant where the first president of Tajikistan was elected. Afterwards drive to Central Mosque. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 9: Khudjand - 7 lakes - Penjikent
We will have an amazing tour by travelling to Fannsky Gory (Fann Mountains). The hiking area will impress you. You will drive to the Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes) for about 60 km south of Panjakent. This place is best for hiking and picnic. See 7 lakes located on different altitudes and have dissimilar colors. We will continue drive to Penjakent. Penjakent or so called five villages is located in Khujand of Tajikistan in a charming Zeravshan river valley, found in the 5th -8th centuries AD. Penjikent city was the main crafts centers of Sogd and called the "Central Asian Pompeii" and had two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses with several paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. This place is famous for dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshiper's church. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 10: Penjikent - Jartepo - Samarkand
Be ready, today we will travel to Jartepo border checkpoint at 10am. Uzbek driver with signboard at meeting area will meet you and transfer you in Samarkand. It is located in the valley of the river Zerafshan and the second largest city of Uzbekistan as the city of Babylon or Rome. Meet the city tour and visit the Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square is ready amaze guests with three fascinating Madrasahs of the 15th -17th centuries. Shakhi-Zindeh has a big collection of mausoleums of the11th -15th centuries and included to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque is very stunning sight dedicated to Tamerlane's wife. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 11: Samarkand - Gijduvan - Bukhara
We will drive to Bukhara. On the way, we will visit Gijduvan village and see the private pottery workshop. In general, Gijduvan ceramics school has special skills passed son from generation to generation. Gizhduvan is famous for its the sixth generation of potters from Narzullayevs family and and Gijduvan school ceramics. You can inspire by geometric pattern of different colors as green and blue. The tour will be continued driving to Bukhara. You can see the memorial complex of Al Bukhary. Al Bukhary was an Islamic researcher who settled the hadith collection known as Sahih al-Bukhari, perceived by Sunni Muslims as one of the most consistent Hadith collections. On arrival in Bukhara, you will rest in a hotel.
Day 12: Bukhara
We are glad to impress you by city tour. Start from the ancient citadel in Bukhara (4th century) -Citadel Ark. It connected some dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Your route will go on visiting the Samanids mausoleum, originated in the 9th -10th century. Then, we will drive to Chashma Ayub or Job's well and Bolo-Hauz mosque. You will find forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. You can see the most famous madrasahs of Bukhara as Nodir Divan Begi of Lyabi House Ensemble. Afterwards visit Poi Kalon complex and explore three constructions built in the 12th - 16th centuries as Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Transfer to hotel.
Day 13: Bukhara - Khiva
In the morning we will travel to Khiva city. The city is famous for more than 140 architectural monuments found in the Middle Ages. On arrival, you will see beautiful narrow streets, green parks and gardens, sights, and other places of wonder! You can see the stunning road from Khiva to Bukhara passing via the famous Kizilkum desert. Here is the chance to see the great Amu Darya river. It is the deepest river in Central Asia, connected with Panj and Vakhsh in Tajikistan flowing into Aral Sea. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 14: Khiva
We are glad to present the next day of our special tour of having the city tour in Khiva. You will have an opportunity to visit inside of Ichan-Qala, the inner city in Khiva which is curved with strong walls. On the way, you will see old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses reformed Ichan-Qala hooked on unique city-monument. Ichan-Qala is famous for over 400 traditional dwelling houses and 60 architectural monuments. In 1969 Ichan-Qala unbolted a historical and architectural conservation area, where the Kunya-Ark fortress found in the 17th century by Muhammad Arang Khan, Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace which a countless model of Khorezm architectural mastership (1830s). Your night will be spent in a hotel.
Day 15: Khiva - Shavat - Kunya Urgench - Darwaza
After hearty breakfast, we will travel to Shavat border. The group will wait for you at Shavat/Dashoguz border of Uzbekistan/Turkmenistan. Then we will drive to the architectural monuments as Kone-Urgench, Khorezm capital of 10th -12th centuries. Visit the Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kubra, Tyurabek-Khanum, IL-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey and the uppermost minaret in Central Asia Kutlyk Timur. Have a break visiting the famous Gas Crater - Darvaza or Door to Hell. Stay there till evening and see the flaming view of burning crater. Afterwards you have picnic and sleep in tent.
Day 16: Darwaza - Ashgabat
The next destination of our tour is travelling in Ashgabat. It is the capital of Turkmenistan. On arrival, you will have an opportunity to see green parks, fountains and statues of the great men of past time as well as visit Carpet Museum, the Park 10 years of Independence and the World of children's fairy tales. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 17: Ashgabat - Mary - Merv
The tour will start by driving to Mary city. On the way you visit Annau, found in the 15th century in Seyit Jamal-ad-Din Mosque. There is Abiward or Abi-ward (an ancient Sassanid city in modern-day Turkmenistan as well as. Researchers at the ancient city of Abiward done in the last century of about 8 km west of the Kahka station in an area of 12,000 m2. The central part of the area is about 60 feet high and 700 feet round. Afterwards we will drive to Mary city and visit ancient Ancient Merv which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travelers will have an opportunity to learn more about this site. On the way you can see the famous mausoleums of Sultan Sanjar and Muhammed ibn-Zeyd of the XII century. Day 18: Mary - Ashgabat
After hearty breakfast, you will continue tour to Ashgabat. On the way you can have a chance and visit the famous Russian bazaar, Lenin Monument, Ertugrul Gazi mosque and get inspiration of them. We have no doubt you will them on tours. In the end of day is transfer to hotel for cozy sleep.
Day 19: Ashgabat
The next day of our tour will start by travelling to the"Ancient Nisa". We have no doubt you will like to see the national park of the Parthian kings under UNESCO protection. Then you can visit the mosque "Ruhy" and the Mausoleum of the first President of Turkmenistan. Afterwards you will drive to horse farm and ride among evergreen forests. In addition, you can have stop on Saparmyrat Hadji Mosque in Gokdepe. Transfer to Ashgabat for rest.
